Introduction

Nottingham English School (NES) is a specialist provider of English Language tuition based in Nottingham City Centre. The School is an academic department forming part of New College Nottingham, based at the historic Adams Building in the Lace Market area of the City.

NES offers British Council accredited English Language tuition and is a member of English UK giving students a guarantee of the quality of tuition they will receive. It helps many international students to learn English, to be more confident and to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Flexible English Language courses to suit you

Nottingham English School offers General English, IELTS, KET and PET preparation and an English Language Summer School. Most courses can begin any Monday and finish any Friday subject to a minimum of 2-4 weeks study. We have a team of CELTA qualified teachers whose collective skills and expertise ensure we deliver teaching in line with British Council standards.

General English Course

The General English programme will help you to improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Your teachers will be professionally qualified and highly motivated. [+]

This General English language course helps you improve your grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. It is an excellent way of developing your English for work, study or pleasure.

Our English language teachers will teach you in friendly, motivating classes. We use modern teaching methods and equipment, current English language course books and other authentic materials to help you to improve your language skills.

The course is tailored to your individual language level. We will test you on the first day to place you in the best class to help you improve. There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years and a minimum stay of 2 weeks, with at least 4 weeks recommended.... [-]


IELTS Preparation Course

Campus Full time 2 - 52 weeks January 2018 United Kingdom Nottingham

The programme will help you prepare for the IELTS exam by focusing on the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as developing essential vocabulary and grammar. [+]

Minimum age 18, maximum class size 16, British Council accredited, study from 2 weeks to a full term or multiple terms with flexible start dates to suit you.

Our 6 hour exam preparation course is designed to help you prepare for the type of questions you may have in the IELTS exam, or for lower level learners the KET and PET exams. We will help you develop confidence and expertise so you are ready for your exam. We also run a 15 hour Intensive IELTS preparation course in our very popular Summer School each July and August.

The classes run for from 1330 – 1530 on Monday – Tuesday – Thursday.

The Summer School programme at Nottingham English School lets you study, enjoy yourself with friends from around the world and see the sights of Nottingham and other parts of England. The classes are similar to the General English programme and preparation courses.

Features of the Summer School:

•Monday to Friday - 9.00 to 10.30 am and 11.00 to 12.30 pm

•Minimum stay - 2 weeks

•Maximum of 16 students in each class

•Students from many different countries

•Minimum age - 18 years (on course start date)
