Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts

The Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts (originally The School of the Science of Acting) was founded in 1991 by Sam Kogan in Holloway, London. For the last 27 years we have trained actors of the highest calibre for a life on stage and screen.

The Academy’s groundbreaking acting technique The Science of Acting is at the heart of all of our courses. Inspired by the work of Stanislavski, Sam developed the technique over a lifetime teaching and directing professional actors and students in the UK and Russia.

The technique is a detailed study of the fundamentals of an actor’s craft and by the time our students graduate they are ready for a life’s work in their chosen profession.

“I owe my career to Sam Kogan - his teachings, which were clear, distinct and inspirational, have been the bedrock of my professional career”

Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan, Sherlock Holmes, Vera Drake...)
