Want to study in the heart of a thriving city? The INTO Centre at Newcastle University offers just that. It’s a modern, safe centre with full access to a range of facilities for living and learning.

Thanks to state-of-the-art study facilities, on-site accommodation, and plenty of opportunities for relaxing and socialising, you’ll find everything in one place.

As well as contemporary classrooms and fantastic IT facilities, the Centre provides a versatile laboratory, a Language Resource Centre and an extensive library. And you’ll be supported by our dedicated teachers and staff who’ll ensure you get the most from your time at Newcastle University.

Library

There are three libraries on campus. Open seven days a week, 24-hours a day, the Robinson Library is the University’s main library. Here you’ll find over one million books, more than 100,000 electronic resources and thousands of journals.

There are two further specialist libraries – the Law Library and the Walton Medical and Dental Library. Can’t find what you’re looking for? The friendly staff are on-hand to help you find what you need.

Facilities

When it comes to studying, the INTO Centre has everything you’ll need. There is a mix of social spaces and quiet spots for private study. The well-stocked Learning Resource Centre is packed with books, online resources and periodicals to enhance your studies.The Learning Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm.

Want to study online? You’ll have access to Blackboard, a virtual learning environment where you’ll be able to download lecture notes and course content, as well as taking part in discussions with your classmates and teachers.

Need advice? The Centre offers 24-hour support from the moment you arrive. From visa and immigration support to airport pick-up, an orientation programme and residential assistants within the accommodation, you’ll have all the help you need to settle in.

Life on campus isn’t just about studying. You’ll also have access to some great facilities where you can socialise with your new friends. Cafes, restaurants and sporting facilities can all be found on campus. Or head to the Students’ Union, where you’ll be spoiled for choice with over 200 clubs and societies.

Food

A great place to hang out with friends and unwind between classes, the café can be found at the centre of the campus. It’s a great place to pick up breakfast, lunch or a drink between classes. Vegetarian and Halal options are often available and there’s also a loyalty card to save you money.

You’ll have access to all the amazing facilities of Newcastle University. There’s the award-winning Robinson Library and the Language Resource Centre – both are great places to study, as well as a great virtual learning environment.
