Introduction

The College of Global Studies is one of three Colleges and three Schools that constitute Arcadia University: The College of Global Studies, The College of Arts & Sciences, The College of Health Sciences, The School of Global Business, The School of Education, and The School of Continuing Studies. Arcadia has been a leader in study abroad for over 75 years. In 2009, its existing Center for Education Abroad was elevated to College status, thereby creating The College of Global Studies. It is the first College of its kind dedicated to the delivery and development of education abroad.

Building on a tradition of over 75 years of leadership and innovation in international education and research, The College of Global Studies provides undergraduates access to over 130 programs abroad in Australia, Chile, Cuba, England, Greece, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, and Wales. Nearly 3,000 students from over 300 colleges and universities participate in Arcadia University's programs abroad each year. Arcadia continuously strives to provide the highest level of support and service to its program participants wherever they are in the world.

The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University prepares students for lives of meaningful contribution in an increasingly complex and interrelated global society. Through strategic institutional partnerships and innovative academic, experiential, and co-curricular programming expressed in diverse and challenging global contexts, students learn to think critically, observe skillfully, reflect thoughtfully, and participate meaningfully.
