Life at the school

The daily schedule at the school is divided between the classes; theory and practice, in the computer rooms and studios. The classes are led by qualified tutors who bring their experience to the learning environment while following the methodology of the school. There are also the hours for study and practice conducted at the school with the all the necessary facilities and amongst fellow students whose talents, knowledge, and thirst for learning make the school an exciting and creative place in which to study.

school

Our students come from all corners of the planet with one goal in mind: to learn as much as possible, making the most of every minute they are here, to achieve their dream. The Microfusa School has a wide variety of courses and qualifications, each with different schedules and durations. Before long students from very different backgrounds, but with similar interests meet and start to collaborate on projects. The teachers at the school are highly qualified in their fields and deliver motivating and dynamic classes. Students attending both theoretical and practical classes will find the explanations and demonstrations, useful, informative and inspiring. Microfusa offers considerable extra time to students so they can practice in the classrooms and studios. Our goal is to nurture the desire to learn. Throughout the year Microfusa plays host to extra sessions such as conferences (masterclasses), product demonstration sessions, visits, etc.

school

At Microfusa we support initiatives and projects and are always listening out for proposals and jobs. If we get an opportunity to get internships, collaborations or work with companies, we do everything in our power to make it happen. We cannot guarantee success for everybody that passes through our doors but the fact remains that there are many professionals working in the industry today who began their careers in our training program. The syllabus taught in class can also be accessed in the form of a training manual available as a hardback book or on the Virtual Campus.

Life in Barcelona

The Surroundings Every year our school welcomes students from all over the world. One of the things that bring them to Microfusa Barcelona is the charm of the city itself. Without detracting whatsoever from the other cities in which Microfusa has authorized centers, the fact remains that Barcelona has become one of the most popular European cities. The city boasts a wide cultural diversity, great architecture and plays host to a huge number of yearly cultural events and festivals. The people of Barcelona are known for their warmth and tolerance. For students coming from other regions or countries, it is an excellent opportunity to combine their studies with discovering Barcelona. Once here, you will find a city which can truly be described as both ancient and modern. The architecture spans the millennia from the Roman era through to modern times with masterpieces of the Catalan Modernist movement by architects such as Antoni Gaudi Lluis Domenech I Montaner and Puig amongst other. (La Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, and the Sant Pau Hospital are just minutes from our center). But it doesn't stop there! The cultural offerings of the city are enormous: world-class museums, exhibitions, theatre, concerts as well as music festivals such as Sonar and Primavera Sound, which attract the world's premier artists.

Accommodation One of the basic requirements of students arriving from elsewhere is accommodation. In Barcelona, there are three different types of accommodation on offer. The most common is to find a room in a shared flat. There are several websites which provide flat-hunting services. Typically our students first rent a room near the school and as the year progresses they find better or cheaper options through other students at the school or on the bulletin board. Another option is to find a dorm. These typically offer additional services to private renting such as cleaning services and laundry. Permits and Visas If you are not a Spanish citizen or from the European Union (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania and Sweden) or Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, in order to take a course of more than six months you are required to obtain a student residence permit (NIE). To get this document you must complete the necessary paperwork at the Spanish consulate in your country of residence. You need a student residence visa (type D), which, once you arrive in Spain, will allow you to apply for your NIE from the police station. You have 30 days after your arrival to complete this. The NIE will allow you to legally stay in the country and travel to all member states of the EU who have signed the treaty of free movement with the government of Spain.
