Istituto Italiano di Fotografia has, for20 years, been a school leader in the field of vocational training in Italy. Training in IIF is characterized by its completeness and for its practical and professional approach that ranges among the most important sectors in the world of photography.

IIF’s mission is to provide a preparation for photography that is solid, complete and modern expressive language of style and innovation. The primary objective is that students develop sensitivity and critical insight necessary to approach the market of photography in a more expressive and dynamic way as possible.

Istituto Italiano di Fotografia is a reality suitable for student, a photographic laboratory in which everyone is assisted educationally, professionally and personally. A place for cultivating their skills and expressive and creative abilities, following an individual and personalized path of growth made by comparison with the teachers and exchanges with colleagues. A welcoming, “family” atmosphere that promotes the acquisition of skills necessary to become trained professionals, photographers able to express their creativity through a unique, personal and original.

The Basic Quarterly Photography Course offers a first approach to digital photography, starting from the basics of the technique. The basic photography course deals with portrait, landscape and reportage, preparing on the technical and language bases, in order to provide knowledge for daily and "domestic" use of the digital camera.

OrganizationDuration: from 10 February to 11 May 2020.Mode: 21 lessons 2 exits 3 exercises.Frequency: Monday and Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, plus two weekend exits (dates to be determined, from 9.30am to 2.30pm), plus three evening exercises.Cost

Objectives and methods of access

The Annual Full Class Photography Course is designed for those who require a good theoretical / practical preparation of technique and digital photo language. The teaching staff and the structure of the program are the same as those of the daytime professional course, but the course takes place in the evening, thus allowing access also to those who work.

No previous skills are required to participate because the course starts from the basics. You must have a digital SLR. Proceed to the end of the available places.

Educational program

The languages addressed are the landscape, the geographical tourist reportage, the portrait, the self-portrait, the photography of events and ceremonies and the post-production. The theoretical part includes technique theory and visual communication. The lessons and the educational exits are combined with exercises in the studio with an assistant, during which it is possible to practice freely.... [-]

Objectives and methods of access

The Professional Course Biennial of Photography of the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia aims to train professional photographers with a deep knowledge of techniques, languages and photographic materials, starting from the basis of photographic technique.

To participate in the course it is not necessary to have previous experience in photography when the course starts from zero, however it is advisable to have a digital reflex that will start to be used after the first few weeks (although during the first three months you work mainly in analogue optical bench). There is therefore no entry test but there is an exhaustion of the available places.

It is possible to directly access the second year of the Professional Photography Course by presenting a Portfolio including portrait photography and still life, in order to assess the quality of the images and the level of preparation. The second year of the Professional Photography Course is a specialization course for those who already have experience in photography and want to deepen it and improve it by attending a professional school. To directly access the second year of the Professional Photography Course it is necessary to present a Portfolio including portrait photography and still life, in order to assess the quality of the images and the level of preparation. Educational program

The specialization course deals with the various photographic languages in detail - from fashion to food, from artistic nude to reportage, from beauty to video with the reflex - with a complete, practical and working approach. The course is then completed by meetings with professionals in the field, such as the lawyer, the agent, the accountant (etc.) to prepare the working reality and teach them how to propose themselves to the market....
