Lancaster University Ghana's Foundation (FDN) Programme is a programme specifically designed by TransNational Education. It uses a unique curriculum developed for students with partial requirements for direct entry into undergraduate programmes. The Foundation Programme establishes a pathway for students wishing to gain entry into undergraduate programmes at Lancaster University UK or Lancaster University Ghana. This programme developed by TNE helps them create a smooth transition from secondary school into university.

Course Overview

The Foundation Programme comprises three terms of 10 weeks’ teaching, one assessment week and a study break over each of the trimesters. The units taught in this program are conducted in English without any prerequisites, and students can take up to four units per term. The class duration for each unit is 2 hours per day, five days a week. Each session includes an insightful lecture and an interactive tutorial. The programme consists of seven compulsory common units and two major specific units. Foundation Routes In order to pave the way for students’ undergraduate studies at the university, the Foundation Programme at Lancaster University Ghana offers three routes or majors. The courses are: - Business (Accounting and Finance, Economics & Int' Relations, Business Studies & Marketing) - I.T. (Computer Science) - Law and Social Sciences (Law, Politics & Int' Relations and Psychology) These Foundation courses include units that focus on content useful and relevant to chosen undergraduate studies at the university.
