The use of FEM (finite element method) or CFD (computational fluid dynamics) began several years ago, especially in the aerospace sector, the automotive industry and in civil engineering, so nowadays the methods have been established in almost all industrial sectors as well as in other applications such as medicine. Current methods make it possible to simulate entire systems and to examine complete products in realistic high-pressure scenarios in advance. As we focus very much on the communicative approach of the language, while not neglecting grammar, we ensure to make every student talk and participate vividly by limiting the number of participants per group. Language Levels We offer up to 6 different language levels, from total beginners to very advanced, or, according to the European Framework of Reference, levels A1-C2. Schedule During an intensive course, our adults have 5 lessons of 45 minutes each morning, starting at 8.30 a.m. and running until 1:00 p.m., including two breaks. PRACTICAL AND CAREER-BASED What designers today need for a successful career start in the media industry is what they receive from BTK. Students learn both from the practical experience of their lecturers at BTK and also, during their 5th Semester, from an internship in the creative industry, in which the abilities gained during the course of studies are tested in the professional world of design. DESIGN FOUNDATION At the start of every study program are the basics and we teach these to provide the foundation for a solid training in design. This includes not only the basic understanding of rhythm and composition, colour and light, knowledge of art and design history, but also developing academic study methodologies and competent use of the computer software used in the creative industry: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. As all Bachelor of Arts programs at BTK share the same foundation modules, all the students from the various courses are mixed together – in this way all the students get to know each other and experience multidisciplinary work right from the start. Following successful completion of the foundation semester, students can select their focus of study and begin to develop their own creative personality.
