Sup’Biotech Paris


Sup'Biotech is a private biotechnological engineering school located in the Paris metropolitan area. Sup'Biotech students do engineering and science coursework including lectures, laboratory work, and long-term creative projects. Unlike at many other STEM-oriented schools, Sup'Biotech also emphasizes industry know-how and offers a truly preprofessional curriculum. Sup'Biotech's graduates get recruited by top firms in the biotech sector such as L'Oreal, Sanofi, Watchfrog, Nestlé, and countless others. Virtually all Sup'Biotech graduates find employment or go on to higher studies, and Sup'Biotech's unique mix of science and managerial skills is extremely valuable to employers of all kinds. We offer undergrad, graduate, study abroad, and summer study courses for international students. Students can begin at years 1, 2, 3 and 5; first and second-year courses are taught in French while the third and fifth years are conducted in English. Graduates gain quick access to senior positions both in France and abroad in such fields as health and pharmaceuticals, food-processing innovation, cosmetics, bioinformatics, or the environment. The program is constructed around the model put in place by the international LMD reform: the Bachelor of Biotechnology cycle (3 years) and the Expertise cycle (2 years). Sup’Biotech’s curriculum is a multidisciplinary balance between science and engineering coursework (lectures, practical laboratory work, and projects), management skills, industrial know-how. Our students also learn about the domestic and international biotechnology markets. Sup’Biotech’s professors come from diverse training and educational backgrounds, such as universities, research centers, and industry. English is used throughout our program; our graduate courses are taught in English, and classes are available exclusively in English from the third year onwards. Sup’Biotech’s students are prepared for a wide range of responsibilities in various biotechnology and international corporations, working in fields such as health, cosmetics, the environment, pharmaceuticals, and agribusiness. As mentioned above, Sup’Biotech’s five-year program includes two-degree programs that correspond to the new European standards. Our three-year undergraduate program leads to a Bachelor’s degree from Sup’Biotech. Upon completion of our two-year graduate program, students are awarded an Engineering Diploma in Biotechnology, equivalent to a Master's degree. In our graduate program, students choose a major and a minor such as Research and Development, Production, or Sales and Marketing. PLEASE NOTE: SUP'Biotech does not have scholarships available. However, we are happy to support any applications for public scholarships that our students wish to submit to the French government or charitable institutions.

Stem Cell Engineering

This program is intended to give students a broad introduction to the exciting field of disease modeling using stem cells.. Students will explore what make stem cells unique, with a specific focus on their characterization and their function. They will extend their knowledge to include an introduction to the more specialized area of genome editing (CRISPR-Cas9).
