When the student graduates they will have the knowledge and necessary skills to work with children, families and community in the context of early learning and development programs for children from birth to age 12. The student will be prepared to work in a variety of settings, including child care centres, early learning and parenting centres, Best Start programs, before and after school programs and with school boards. This two-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate is designed for university and college graduates who are seeking a career in the hospitality and tourism industry in the Canadian or North American hospitality industry. This program will provide instruction in the regulations and standards of practice that govern the Canadian hospitality industry including food handling protocols, health and safety regulations, labour laws, and financial practices and procedures. Students will receive training and work experience in a Canadian hospitality service environment. The curriculum will focus on applied knowledge in the field of hospitality operations with emphasis on guest service, operations management, financial management and accounting, human resource management, and information systems.
