In 25 years 36,000 students from more than 50 countries have been welcomed at the airport, settled into a loving homestay family or into the student residence and cared for in a quality language program. These 36,000 students have always been in the sights of Robynne and Brian who with their team of loyal and dedicated staff have made it their mission to give every student the feeling that they are just as important as Megumi and Kaz were in 1989. Marie Gorman, Manager of Student Services is a valued member of the company after 23 years, Kate Tarrant as a Senior Director is also marking her 23rd year. Ann Lyall the Demi Pair/Au Pair Manager has 21 years under her belt as does our Registrar, Jessica Gorman and Director of the Young Learners Program Margaret Stuart. Mark Belton, our General Manager has achieved 15 years with the company as has our Academic Director, Lisa Barbagiovanni, and Managers of our Teacher Training Division, Antony Atkinson, and Daniela Multari. The stability and security of the staff mean that continuous improvement occurs and systems work well. Everyone has a sense of pride and achievement in being part of the Phoenix team. Celebrations throughout the year included agent cocktail parties, student parties, 25th-anniversary scholarships and acknowledgments for staff and students.

This program is designed for Australian and international students at pre-undergraduate level who need a bridge between previous academic studies and the academic requirements of Australian universities. The program is a Certificate IV course under the Australian Qualifications Framework. On successful completion of the program, students are eligible for direct entry to Murdoch University, Edith Cowan University, Curtin University & Monash University or other universities of choice at first year level. ACADEMIC ENGLISH – UNIVERSITY PREPARATION (EAP)

The Phoenix Academy Academic English - University Preparation course is approved as meeting the English language requirements for direct entry (no IELTS necessary), to Western Australia’s Curtin, Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is designed for students who do not meet the English entry requirements for university at either undergraduate or postgraduate level.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

This course develops the Academic English and Study Skills necessary to succeed in study at a Tertiary level in Australia.

Course components include:

Academic reading and writing skills classes. Using technology to communicate in an academic context. Participation in tutorial discussions to develop collaborative learning skills. The Phoenix Diploma of Business offers students a pathway to second-year university. On successful completion of the Diploma of Business and meeting university minimum entry requirements, graduating students from the Diploma of Business are able to transfer to the relevant undergraduate degree program with a year of advanced standing at Curtin, Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities. The Phoenix Diploma of Business offers students a pathway to second-year university. On successful completion of the Diploma of Business and meeting university minimum entry requirements, graduating students from the Diploma of Business are able to transfer to the relevant undergraduate degree program with a year of advanced standing at Curtin, Murdoch and Edith Cowan Universities.

The Diploma of Business (Direct Entry) incorporates the BSB40212 Certificate IV in Business.
