Goals
The purpose of the Course is to train professionals in the knowledge and use of technological resources that are applied today in the world of soccer, either for the analysis and interpretation of the game at an individual and collective level, or for the capture, monitoring, and improvement of soccer players.
Curriculum
Module 1 – Tactical analysis in soccer
This module addresses the scientific foundations of soccer, from the Complexity Paradigm, and its application to game analysis. The types of tactical analysis and the phases of the analysis process are explained. In the second part, the analysis of the specific football situations and the specific variables of each match (own and rival team, field players, and goalkeeper) is proposed.

- Basic fundamentals of game analysis.
- The collective analysis of the own team and the rival team.
- Outfield player analysis and goalkeeper analysis.
- Analysis of specific game situations.
Module 2 – Scouting in Soccer
Module 2 focuses on the conceptual bases of scouting, as a football observation procedure using audiovisual technology, in its different applications, match preparation, player recruiting, or talent detection. In the second part, the functions of the analyst and the structure of a professional scouting department are studied.

- The elaboration of technical reports and the preparation of the match.
- Scouting in recruiting players and detecting talent.
- The Scouting Department within the Sports Directorate.
Module 3 - Technological resources applied to soccer
Module 3 studies the main observation instruments, and their technological development, in their audiovisual and computer aspects. The second part deals with the study and practical application of the databases used by professional soccer teams.
