Introduction
Pain in the locomotor and musculoskeletal system is one of the great epidemics of the 21st century. Manual therapy, as a Physiotherapy tool, constitutes an important aspect in the approach to chronic pain. Manual therapy makes use of the scientific method to address pain in the locomotor system, always supported by current evidence and clinical experience. The objective of the degree is to train the student in the use and theoretical-practical mastery of the tools offered by manual therapy, within a multidisciplinary context with the aim of addressing the painful pathology of the locomotor system.
The course program is divided into 12 face-to-face seminars from Friday to Saturday in which the clinical reasoning of Manual Therapy within the discipline and body of Physiotherapy will be developed. In each seminar, a body region of the locomotor system will be addressed in great detail, with the exception of the first seminar, which will deal with dissection and functional anatomy.
Goals
The objective of the Expert is to learn and put into practice joint treatment methods, manual muscle and myofascial treatment methods, nerve tissue mobilization techniques, dry needling techniques on muscle tissue and muscle stabilization exercise protocols based on scientific evidence.
