Driven by intellectual creativity and critical thinking since 1932, students at the UIMP have expanded horizons and contributed to moving the world forward. Our mission is to promote culture and science, foster international and inter-regional relationships, scientific and cultural exchanges, as well as run advanced and specialised research activities. The Summer Courses are a highlight of our ongoing academic activities and make us a pioneering university centre in Spain. Santander is the traditional academic base, although many other activities are organised and held at our other campuses. Moreover, the university is a pioneer in Spain in organising Spanish language and culture courses for foreigners. We also organise English immersion courses for students and teachers of the language, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and VET. Furthermore, we teach Official Postgraduate Programmes in line with the European Higher Education Area that lead to accredited Master’s and PhD degrees across Spain. In turn, we offer accredited UIMP-specific Postgraduate Programmes.
