Program Tracks
Students can choose from one of the following tracks of study within STAR that suits their best interest and educational goals:
- Academic Advancement Track: A rigorous academic plan that gives recent high school graduates the essential skills and acculturation opportunities to advance and succeed in top U.S. universities and colleges.
- Early College Track: A one-of-kind UC Irvine program that provides a personalized and supportive academic environment for students in grades 10-12 to gain a transformative high school experience and engaging opportunities. Our unique cross-enrolled program curriculum promotes students’ academic competitiveness, scholastic development, and high school diploma attainment from our partner institution.

Important Notes
- Completion of one year of Academic English for ESL Learners courses is required.
- Students must meet the program advancement criteria to take UCI General Education & Major courses.
- Program approval is required to enroll in more than 12 units in any subsequent quarter. The maximum number of units that are covered by the program tuition is 16.
- Courses are scheduled based on availability. Course equivalent substitutions will be recommended when courses become unavailable.
