A Level Textiles

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4+/C+ or above, including English Language and an Art & Design subject. Those who have not studied a GCSE Art & Design subject must be able to demonstrate interest and ability through a visual portfolio that may include work in a variety of media, as well as observational drawing.

If you have an interest in colour, pattern, shape, form, texture and decoration then this will provide an excellent basis from which you can explore and develop your enjoyment of textiles through art, craft and design.

You will be inspired by visits to exhibitions and museums, learn how to develop ideas and apply techniques and processes to develop outcomes that may include fashion design, fashion textiles, costume design, digital textiles, printed and constructed textiles, domestic textiles, interior design, art textiles and installed textiles.
