Introduction

THE RECORDING CONNECTION PRO TOOLS COURSE is AVAILABLE IN ALL 50 STATES AND CANADA.

With locations across all 50 states and on three continents, the Recording Connection has been placing its students as working apprentices (externs) in real recording studios across the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K. We partner with only the most seasoned producers and engineers to mentor our students, many of whom work regularly with some of the biggest names in music. Working with professionals of this caliber helps ensure our students have the best chance of launching their own successful music industry careers.

Learn to use Pro Tools, The Music Industry Standard Digital Audio Workstation!

Pro Tools was developed by a group of audio engineers out of the growing need for a software program that could replicate the functions of expensive studio equipment in a digital environment. Since its development, this powerful digital audio workstation has come to be the industry standard among audio professionals. These days, you’d be hard pressed to find a modern record release that was not recorded or mixed with Pro Tools, or a professional recording studio that doesn’t use it. Not only is it utilized by major label producers and world-class engineers alike, but it’s also found in home studios across the world, enabling songwriters, composers and musicians to access levels of sound quality once only available at the most expensive recording studios, and at a fraction of the cost.

Suffice it to say that if you’re serious about a professional career as a music producer, audio engineer or other industry professional, you’ll need to “speak the language” of pro recording studios, and that means you need to learn Pro Tools inside and out. At the Recording Connection, you will be paired with an experienced engineer who will teach you this powerful software program in one-on-one sessions, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice with it and master it, not only in the studio but with your own copy at home, included in your tuition. Ultimately, learning Pro Tools will give you the versatility you need in order to be competitive in the music industry, whether you’re trying to get hired at a recording studio, producing your next hit record or opening a studio of your own.

A working knowledge of Pro Tools helps qualify you for the following careers:

  • Music Producer
  • Mix Engineer
  • Live Sound Engineer
  • Music Director
  • Sound Designer
  • Sound Designer for Games
  • Film Composer
  • Music Editor
  • ADR Technician
  • Foley Artist
