NZIoS English Language Development courses are designed to help students make accelerated progress in learning in each of the core four English Language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking and with concentration on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. The courses allow students to study EL at any level from one to three and progress through levels one to three. For students aspiring to advance further the courses prepare students for Academic English programmes at level 4 and Level 5.These courses will equip you to communicate in English independently so you can converse in familiar, everyday life situations in an English language environment.

IT Level 5

The New Zealand Diploma in Networking-Level 6 is to impart the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude required to be have with integrity and responsibility as an IT professional, contributing positively to society. The component also imparts effective communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively and efficiently in an organizational environment, achieving quality outcomes.Provided by the New Zealand Institute of Studies, this programme is available by class room learning, allowing you to study regular class hours.

IT Level 6

The Diploma in Networking (Level 7) prepares learners for professional positions in the specialized areas of computer networking, or for further studies in the fields of computer networks and Information Technology.Provided by the New Zealand Institute of Studies, this programme is available by class room learning, allowing you to study regular class hours.The programme is aimed at learners with prior qualifications or experience in the areas of computer networking and Information Technology and who wish to acquire specific knowledge and skills to pursue a specialist career in Computer Networks in New Zealand, or for further studies in this area.

IT Level 7

The NZIOS NZCEL (Applied) (Level 3) programme aims to develop students’ language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening which will be applied to a specific academic context. The targeted learners are students who are living overseas or in NZ who wish to improve their English proficiency so as to progress through an education pathway to successfully access higher tertiary education options in New Zealand, or internationally. The programme consists of 27 credits from the five EAP unit standards and 35 credits from five unit standards in the English Language domain. The unit standards for the NZCEL (Applied) Level 3 are specified in the NZCEL Guiding Document (May 2019).

NZCEL Level 3

This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language, who attend NZQA approved programmes delivered in Aotearoa New Zealand or off-shore. The qualification is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework or Reference (CEFR) B2. It allows the kiwi community, employers and educational institutions to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for general, workplace or academic purposes.

NZCEL Level 4

This qualification is intended for candidates of English as an additional language, who wish to pursue academic study requiring high levels of English language competency. Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate independently and effectively in a wide range of familiar and unfamiliar situations with fluency and flexibility in academic contexts. This qualification is at a level comparable to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) high B2. This qualification allows educational institutions and professional bodies to recognise the level at which the graduate can use English for academic purposes.

NZCEL Level 5

NZIOS are consented by NZ Qualifications Authority, to deliver and teach topics in Assessment Standards and Unit Standards which have credit values and where students can study a topic(s) and earn credits or additional ‘catch-up credits’; which assist them with their study plan for entry into Tertiary institutions such as University, Polytechnics or other specialist colleges and institutes in NZ. Alternatively, students may choose to study the topics in the assessment standards to further their knowledge in selected specialist subject areas of personal interest or to prepare them for a future vocation.
