Morehouse College, a top HBCU in Georgia, accepts applications from first-year, transfer, international, and dual enrollment students, with each application type tailored to the specific needs and qualifications of the respective candidate.

Please Note: Applicants applying to Morehouse College as full-time students will need an I-20 from The Office of International Student Services.

  • Financial Statement - All applicants requesting a Form I-20 for student (F-1) visas must provide proof of financial support to defray college expenses including matriculation fees, school supplies, living costs, and related expenses (This amount is subject to change due to an increase in fees and living expenses.). A certified statement from the sponsor’s bank showing that the required funds are available must be submitted.
  • Copies of the passport

Re-Admit/Re-Instated Requirements

  • Students whose enrollments are disrupted for more than one semester are required to apply for re-admission. An Application for Re-Admission should be completed at least two months before the beginning of the semester of a planned return to Morehouse College.

Our Scholarship Opportunities

A Morehouse College education is an investment in your future success. To be eligible for scholarships, you must:

  • Be a newly admitted or currently enrolled Morehouse student
  • Meet the criteria established by the scholarship donors
  • Submit all required documents necessary for processing. We strongly encourage you to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to maximize available scholarship opportunities.
  • Maintain GPA, community service hours, or meet other conditions necessary for the scholarship

Morehouse offers both general scholarships, which are open to all students, and scholarships restricted to those within a specific major or field of study. Scholarships may be recommended to you at different times throughout the year as applications become available. Please make note of scholarship deadlines, as late submissions will not be accepted.

Campus Life & Facilities

Morehouse College Campus Facilities and Locations

Morehouse College's campus is a vibrant and dynamic environment that supports student life in numerous ways. The college's main campus spans 61 acres and is conveniently located just three miles from downtown Atlanta.

Academic and Residential Buildings

The Morehouse campus features a diverse array of academic and residential buildings. This includes 12 dormitories and 10 academic buildings that house departments such as History, English, and Physics. Some of the key facilities on campus include the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center, the Franklin L. Forbes Arena, and the Chivers Hall/Mays Hall dining complex.

Campus Amenities and Operations

In addition to the academic and residential spaces, Morehouse also provides various other campus amenities and services. The college has an on-campus bookstore as well as a stellar campus operations department that works to maintain a safe and healthy campus environment for all.

Student Housing and Residential Life

Housing is an integral part of the Morehouse experience, with the college offering 10 residence halls. Five of these halls are designated for first-year students, while the remaining five are for upperclassmen. The Residential College experience at Morehouse provides students with opportunities for leadership, community building, and academic support through programs like the Residence Hall Association and Resident Advisor roles. Overall, Morehouse's campus offers students a vibrant and well-equipped environment to live, learn, and grow during their college years.
