Introduction
AGGREGATION DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER SECONDARY EDUCATION
Attached to the Faculty of Philosophy, the Department of Aggregation of Higher Secondary Education is inter-faculty. Its objective is the theoretical and practical training of secondary school teachers holding a bachelor's degree issued by any existing faculty within the UCC.
This interdisciplinary department is one of the privileged tools for effective training and transmission of an education of young people in moral and spiritual values according to the Christian vision.
It is also at the service of existing faculties and is intended to provide graduates who wish it with the pedagogy of the transmission necessary for their future teaching profession, according to the Christian vision of an integral education.
It also aims to model a graduate, future Christian educator, who is: worthy and well trained in the principles and pedagogical practice imbued with the Christian faith and enlightened by the confirmed achievements of the sciences of education; - capable of develop the person of the student; - has, in addition to the disciplinary competence (knowledge of the subject), the didactic competence (media and techniques of communication and educational evaluation, methodological qualities, keeping of school documents); - trained conclusively in his future profession of teaching by attending model lessons and giving learning lessons, all under the supervision of experienced masters.
Students who follow the higher secondary education aggregation program normally take the exams at the end of the second year of the licence. They are strongly advised to follow the general courses of the program from the first year of the license.
