Introduction
At the third cycle level, students can acquire the degrees of Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies, Doctor and Aggrégé in higher education in Economics and Development.
A program leading to a special diploma in Economics and Development is also organized at postgraduate level. The courses are spread over 2 years.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The Faculty of Economics and Development aims to train specialists who, imbued with the Gospel and the Social Teaching of the Church, are capable of infusing the Christian spirit into any enterprise in which they collaborate, in order to that it contributes to the integral development of man and society.
The graduate in Economics and Development must be able to conceive, coordinate and direct a development action at the level of the State, a province, a locality or any other enterprise, by analyzing the intersectoral influences and by leading those responsible for these sectors to collaborate in the same vision of development.
The graduate in Economics and Development is called to work within state institutions, national and international institutions and organizations initiated by the Church, civil society and the State, in order to help them rationalize their decisions and guide them. for the common good of society.
He must be able to correctly analyze needs, define the objectives of an action, design and implement an action strategy, evaluate a development project and propose remedies.
The graduate in Economics and Development must be an economist of a new type who does not theorize only from the principles and laws of the market economy, but who understands that the first objective of our country is to initiate growth and development under current conditions that require the combination of strategies and the use of theorizing and modeling based on both facts and ethical values.
He must be able to integrate into a work team. Being vested with certain responsibilities, he will bring to his colleagues, his superiors and his subordinates, the vision and the techniques of realization of an integral development. In collaboration with the other authorities of the company, he must be able to put his hand in the dough himself. He must be in direct contact with the population and carry out certain concrete actions himself and be able to create a small industrial, agricultural, social, commercial, educational, etc. business himself.
The graduate in Economics and Development must, in his behavior, serve as a model in the concrete environment where he lives. This presupposes a spirit of renunciation in order to contribute to an integrated community development. Because the people can only agree to engage in the demands of integrated development if they are driven by credible models. The graduate in economics and development must be an animator, a coordinator and an organizer in the spirit of the options of the bishops of Congo.
