The fundamental accounting and finance skills you learn will apply in nearly every type of business, industry and government. Associate of Applied Business in Accounting

The software development major prepares students for programming on different computer platforms. Students will learn to design and develop software using the procedural and object-oriented languages most commonly used in business. Additional topics covered include database design and development and an introduction to networking. Lorain County Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities including programs offered by Lorain County Community College’s University Partnership.

Associate of Applied Business in Computer Information Systems - Software Development

According to the U.S. Travel Association, travel is the seventh-largest industry in terms of employment. Job growth is predicted to continue with one in every nine new jobs created being found in this industry. In order to meet the need for trained professionals to work in this exciting and fast-paced field, LCCC offers a two-year associate of applied business degree in hospitality and tourism management. A concentration in hospitality, travel or culinary arts provides students with the opportunity to select a program of study in their area of interest. Associate of Applied Business in Hospitality and Tourism Management - Culinary Arts

Digital fabrication is a process that uses rapid prototyping and CAD/CAM software equipment to create objects from CAD drawings. The digital fabrication program gives you the knowledge and skills necessary to work as an entry-level technician. You’ll get hands-on experience with both subtractive and additive digital fabrication tools for tasks such as prototyping, proof-of-concept exploration, and rapid tooling. You will also apply 2D, 3D, and electronics design to create integrated electro-mechanical systems.

The electronic engineering program provides you with an application-oriented, electronic/electrical background, extensive hands-on laboratory experience, and the use of standard and specialized test equipment. The associate of arts degree program provides students with a broad academic education to prepare them for the workplace and for upper-level university study. The degree requirements for the associate of arts may be met through LCCC’s university transfer courses or by taking university transfer courses at other recognized colleges and/or universities. Select from the general education/transfer module: Arts and humanities; English composition; Mathematics/statistics/logic and natural sciences.

Careers in psychology typically require at least a bachelor’s degree. You can begin your education at LCCC by earning the associate of arts in psychology – transfer pathway, which may provide you with the necessary coursework for transfer to a four-year college or university. All colleges and universities have general education requirements that are specific to their own institution. This is why it is critical to first check with your selected transfer institution to confirm the transferability and applicability of specific courses you choose to take at LCCC. Taking as many of your required courses here at LCCC will usually result in substantial financial savings.

Associate of Arts in Psychology – Transfer Pathway

The associate of science degree program provides students with a broad academic education to prepare them for the workplace and for upper-level university study. The degree requirements for the associate of science may be met through LCCC’s university transfer courses or by taking university transfer courses at other recognized colleges and/or universities. Associate of Science

Building on the Short-Term and One-Year Certificates in Sustainable Agriculture, the Associate of Applied Science in Sustainable Agriculture will allow you explore careers in in agriculture and food systems. You will learn key sustainability and land stewardship skills while studying the interactions between food, human health, and ecosystem services. You will contribute to the production, distribution, and marketing of locally grown produce through hands-on experiences with local farmers and growers.
