Introduction
The Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences Degree requires satisfactory completion of a minimum of 60 semester hours of academic work with a cumulative grade-point average of not less than “C” (2.0). For this degree, candidates must present an organized program of study, which meets the following 33 hours of general education core requirements. Authority for substitutions must be obtained from the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
The AA degree is designed for students to transfer with advanced standing into university Bachelor’s degrees. The courses are comparable to lower-division courses offered at Kansas Regents Universities. Developmental courses cannot be used to fulfil degree requirements.
