Introduction
The Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations (GSD) invites you to an invaluable experience in an international environment. By undertaking our accelerated one-semester-immersion course, you will gain first-hand exposure to the work of the international organizations and how diplomatic actors face new issues, policies, and negotiations. GSD would like to provide a hands-on training experience that will equip you to engage in International Relations and Diplomacy. Based in the heart of the most active center for multilateral diplomacy, Geneva is host to over 250 NGOs, 168 foreign states, and has been hosting international organizations for over 100 years. Organizations such as the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the International Labor Organization, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Committee of the Red Cross and the World Trade Organization (WTO) have a seat in Geneva, with over 40, 000 international diplomats and civil servants working in this international setting. Not only is Geneva the center for diplomacy, it is also a welcoming environment for a wide range of cultures, with over 100 nationalities currently living and working in the city. Whether your background or interest lies in private, public or the non-profit sector, GSD would like to encourage a fulfilling and useful experience that will enhance knowledge and boost a lasting career. We will provide opportunities to gain reputable contacts, experience, and resources in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy through the promotion of the different international events in the area and, of course, our distinguished faculty. We will guarantee an increase in knowledge and awareness of contemporary issues through a range of seminars and guest lectures from high-level experts and officials from the international environment.
