Introduction
Start your career as an architectural or civil draftsperson
Be ready to help architects, engineers, and project managers with your skills in AutoCAD, architectural design, and building code.
Students in this program prepare to work alongside architects, designers, and project managers. While developing skills in architectural drafting and design as well as an understanding of the building design and construction process, students take courses in computer-aided drafting and project design, building codes, contracts, and specifications. Teamwork and project-based learning are emphasized. This program is common with the first four semesters of the Architectural Technology program and graduates may choose to continue into the third year of that program.
If this doesn’t sound quite right for you, why not look into the Architectural Technology program? It’s a three-year option that includes two co-op terms and specialized courses like Construction Materials, Site Planning, Contract Management, Project Costing, and more.
Pathways
Continue your studies with a three-year advanced diploma
