Introduction
Study Program's aim is ‘to your potential to progress onto higher education and/or skilled employment by ensuring that vocational routes to higher education and employment are seen as high quality and a genuine alternative to academic routes.’ This will mean that as a 16-19-year-old, you will be offered high-quality study programs to give you the best opportunity to move into further education or employment.
You will study six units, which are all assignment based: Business culture and responsibilities; Deliver customer service in a business environment; Produce documents in a business environment; Solve problems in a business environment; Work with others in a business environment; Communicate in a business environment.
The assessment is designed to reward students for what they can do as well as what they know. You will be internally assessed through assignments set, which build into a portfolio of work marked by your lecturers and externally moderated by the awarding body NCFE. These assignments may be set, projects, or case study work. Your coursework contains all the evidence collected as you work through the units.
