Introduction

The CAM program is designed for students who have a strong interest in hands-on experience both in the classroom as well as in the industry. Core courses ensure students with a knowledgeable foundation to operate and setup computer numerical control machines using our Computer Aided Manufacturing laboratory. Master CAM software is the designing software used to generate G and M codes for product prototyping. The CAM program prepares students for an entry level job as a CNC operator or CNC programmer. The software and machines give students the most experience possible, and helps develop skills for our local manufacturing workforce. A comprehensive set of undergraduate courses are offered for students interested in working towards the completion of proficiency awards, such as, Associate in Science degree in CNC Operation and CAD/CAM programming.
