The course offers a unique blend, combining academic rigour and industry engagement with practical and professional skills acquisition. You are encouraged to develop your understanding of current and potential future practices within the ever-changing fashion and media industries, and to consider your potential future role within these industries. During your time of study, you will have the opportunity to tap into the College’s wide network of academics and industry professionals.

The programme is structured as one 10-week term, an RQF level 4 (45 credits) undergraduate certificate course validated by the University of Buckingham. The programme combines academic rigour and industry engagement with practical and professional skills acquisition. You will be encouraged to develop your understanding of current and potential future practices within the ever-changing fashion and media industries and to consider your potential future role within them.

Fashion Branding & Creative Communication

This module focuses on branding and brand communication, introducing key theories and practices for branding, communication, and PR. It aims to develop a strategic approach for a creative campaign, conceptualize creative assets, and explore the brand/user relationship in terms of resonating with and communicating to audiences.

Brand Identity & Design

This module focuses on the fundamental principles of graphic design, practical design skills, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. It explores the application of design principles in creating brand identity and provides an overview of historical and contemporary graphic design and communication practices.

Professional Development Portfolio

This module offers you the chance to delve into your knowledge and abilities, empowering you to craft an impressive CV and create a compact portfolio that showcases your remarkable talents. With dedicated sessions to support you in this process, you’ll have the opportunity to evaluate your creative practice within the industry. Our goal is for you to complete this term with a clearer direction for your next steps, whether that be securing a work placement, pursuing a specific job role, or furthering your studies in line with your chosen course.
