Introduction
The Condé Nast Fashion Journalism course is an intensive five-day programme to introduce students to a range of practical skills and essential information on the subject. It is suitable for anyone interested in fashion and lifestyle journalism who is keen to find out more about the media and develop their writing skills.
Are you curious about what goes on behind the scenes of Condé Nast Publications magazine? This intensive five-day programme is suitable for anyone interested in a career in fashion and lifestyle journalism, who is keen to find out more about the discipline and develop and refine their writing skills.
During the course, you will research and come up with ideas for articles and also explore online options that will allow you to add to your portfolio.
There will be talks from Condé Nast staff and other fashion media experts on a range of subjects such as understanding your audience, generating feature ideas, trend reporting, writing fashion news, and the art of interviewing.
The course will also look at the work of experienced writers and editors, and explore the language of fashion. You will discover how magazines operate, how revenue is generated from media content, and the key characteristics of print and digital formats.
Notice: Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design is changing its name to Vogue College of Fashion on 30th September 2024. From there on we will refer everywhere officially to the College as Vogue College of Fashion including your final diploma and certificates obtained at the point of graduation with the College post 30th September 2024.
Program Outcome
By the end of the course, you will receive a Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design Certificate of Completion.

Curriculum
During the course, students will research and develop ideas for articles before going on to create a website that will act as a showcase for their personal body of work.
Students will hear from Condé Nast staff and other fashion media experts on a range of related subjects such as understanding the masthead, the editor’s role, conducting interviews and readership profiling. As well as examining the work of inspiring writers and editors and exploring the language of fashion, they will also find out how magazines operate, how to generate revenue from the media content, and the key differences between print and digital formats.
The course gives an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of a Condé Nast magazine and the skills required to build a successful career in fashion journalism.
Students can expect to be in classes from 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
