Originating from the Latin word infantia, childhood is the period of human life from when
is born until puberty. The concept makes it possible to name the set of children of that age
(infants) and to the first state of a thing after its birth or foundation (for
example, “the childhood of an institution”).
During this period it will be of vital importance to know in depth the needs and obligations
of the little ones to offer them an education and a series of essential values
for proper physical and emotional development.
