Program Description

Start your journey into higher education with the Condé Nast College Foundation Programme! This is an introductory course that will prepare students for further study in higher education. The Foundation is a level three (120 credits) pre-university course is suitable for UK, EU and International students interested in studying fashion-related subjects at degree level at a later stage. Students will be introduced to key aspects of the creative industries with an emphasis on fashion and media. The programme will focus on developing transferable skills in research, academic practice and visual communication.

The foundation is suitable for school leavers interested in fashion-related courses that are as yet unsure which area they would like to specialise in at degree level. It is also suitable for those that do not meet the entry requirements for our BA (Hons) Fashion Communication or equivalent degree courses at other institutions. Study and research skills are embedded into all modules to ensure students are effectively prepared for the transition to higher education and support with degree applications is a priority. Successful and engaged students who complete the Foundation will be considered for the BA (Hons) Fashion Communication should they wish to join this course.

Entry requirements

For UK students

5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (must include English and Maths) and one A-level or equivalent

For international students

High school certificate from your country of residence and an academic transcript (with marks for years 11 and 12)

English language

Non-native English speakers are required to have an IELTS average of 6.5 or higher. Accepted applicants with an IELTS average less than 6.5 but greater than 5.0 will be required to take an English language module prior to the start of the course.
We are unable to accept applicants with an IELTS average below 5.0

How to apply

Applicants are required to complete the three-stage application process, which includes the online application form, College Challenge, and an interview.
We are now accepting applications for this course via our application portal.
For the Foundation programme, applicants are required to submit their application no later than six weeks before the course starts.

Please apply at least three months prior to the course start date to avoid disappointment.
