The make-up artistry with fashion and media programme is designed to offer the learner the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and knowledge working as a make-up artist in preparation for direct employment or further study. The course comprises of a range of core modules developing the key skills and attributes to become a successful make-up artist. These modules are further complimented by the fashion and media subject specialist pathway modules. The course aims to prepare students with the creative skills required to work within the media make-up industry. The content of the course encourages students to produce innovative ideas in visual imagery, explore creativity and link to the needs of the media make-up industry. The course will prepare students to engage and work as artistic practitioners across a broad range of artistic makeup, including a variety of TV and media environments, theatre and photographic sectors, as well as preparing them to be an independent practitioner/artist.
