Do you want to study for a graduate degree in the United States but need to improve English language skills or test scores? A Pathway program provides academic, language and cultural support in order to succeed at a US university. Students are guaranteed progression to an undergraduate degree program through curriculum consisting of credit-earning courses. We provide full integration with domestic and international students on campus from highly trained university instructors and tutors while giving you academic support throughout the program.

INTO USF Undergraduate Pathway program will prepare you to enter the second year of University of South Florida's competitive undergraduate degree program in business.

These sample courses have no pre-requisites, major restrictions, upper-level standing or permit requirement; however, enrollment may be limited and courses may not be offered every semester. Because of the intense nature of Summer classes, students will be enrolled in fewer credit hours for the Summer semester.

3-SEMESTER PATHWAY

Our new 3-Semester Pathway program is designed specially for international students who want to start earning credits toward their bachelor's degree at a US university. This program offers more focus on English language preparation than our other Pathway programs. The chart below is a sample course schedule for the first term of the 3-Semester Pathway program.

What are the progression requirements?

After successfully completing the Pathway program, you are guaranteed to enter your next semester of study. This transition to university from an INTO program is called progression. You must meet the following University of South Florida Pathway Progression criteria in order to progress:

  • 2.5+ USF GPA
  • No “U” grade in a class
  • No “W” or “I” grade in a class
  • Grade of “C” or better in all classes
  • You are fully admitted to USF provided successful completion of provisional admission criteria at the end of the Pathway
  • SAT or ACT on record but no minimum scores required

The INTO USF Undergraduate Pathway in Business leads to the second year of study of a number of business-focused bachelor's degree programs at the University of South Florida. Academic programs within the Muma College of Business:

Entry requirements

Age: No minimum age but must have proof of high school graduation

Academic: High school diploma with equivalent of 2.5+ GPA

English language:

3-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 50 (10 subscores), IELTS 5.0 (4.5 subscores), PTEA 41+ or Password Test Level 5

2-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 60-78, IELTS 5.5-6.0, PTEA 44-52, completion of Academic English Level 4 or Password Test Level 6

1-Semester Pathway: TOEFL iBT 79+, IELTS 6.5+, PTEA 53+
