Overview

The Hague Pathway College International Foundation Year will prepare you for success in a number of varied degree programs at THUAS, including business, banking, behavioral and social sciences.

Stage 1: International Foundation

The international foundation year consists of the following modules and terms:

One academic year corresponds to 60 EC that is normally equivalent to 1500–1800 hours of the total workload.

Stage 2: First Year Degree

Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you will enter the English-taught Bachelor’s program at THUAS in your chosen degree.

Stages 3 and 4: Second and Third Year Degree

Continue to pursue knowledge and practical skills in coursework and elective modules to complete your degree. Lectures and workshops in the various modules aim will provide you with in-depth knowledge and experience working in a global team.

You’ll get to put knowledge into action during a semester-long internship at an international company.

International Business (BBA)

  • English-taught
  • Strong focus on collaboration and innovation
  • Learn from guest lecturers and experts in their field
  • Complete your internship at a company abroad or in The Netherlands

International Financial Management and Control (BSc, official name: Finance & Control)

  • English-taught
  • Discover finance from both entrepreneurial and socially responsible perspectives
  • Learn how to set up an investment plan for regional, national and international companies.
  • Prepare to become a manager of change in a small and medium-sized enterprise, a government institution or a multinational corporation.

European Studies (BA)

  • English-taught
  • Develop an international and multi-lingual approach to private business and public policy, teaching research, communications skills, and foreign languages from a practical perspective with a real career context.
  • Our program is also flexible and allows you to customize your own curriculum based on your own interests and career goals.

International Communication Management (BA, official name: Communication)

  • English-taught
  • Develop critical thinking and hands-on skills.
  • Group projects in the first two years will train you on how to advise real companies on communication strategies.
  • An optional five month internationally orientated internship will develop your social awareness and integrity for the global workplace.

International Sport Management (BA, official name: Sport Studies)

  • English-taught
  • Develop a basic foundation in sports marketing, sports policy, financial management and other topics about the impact of sports on society.
  • All topics have an international approach, whether it is courses, group projects or individual assignments.
