Course Structure

Remote Prep

Our pre-work is mandatory. When you become an official student, you're given access to 40 hours of online design content on our student platform. This pre-work will take you through the fundamentals of UX/UI design and will help you to familiarize yourself with the software needed to create your designs. Completing the pre-work is essential for our students to understand familiar concepts. By the end of the remote-prep pre-work, you will be ready to take on the fast pace of our on-campus learning!

Module 1 | UX Design

The course begins with the application of a Google Ventures Design Sprint to a project. The Sprint will provide you a clear overview of the whole Design Thinking process from the research phase to the creation of the prototype and testing. Then, you will learn how to perform user researches, analyze findings, and ideate solutions. Learn how to turn these solutions into user flows and mid-fi wireframes using Sketch App. At the end of the module, you will be able to create real interactive prototypes.

Module 2 | UI Design & Front End Web Development

Time to make your designs beautiful and usable! This module begins with some learning about aesthetics, moodboards and brand attributes. Learn how to use colors, fonts, and styles in your designs and how to design interactions and animations for Hi-fi prototypes.

You will also learn Android and iOS design requirements and transitions into mobile and desktop design principles. Create UI libraries and spec sheets for technical development teams. The theory finishes with a whole week focused on web developing skills: learn how to communicate with developers by introducing yourself in the world of technologies like HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
