Whatever your interests or ambitions, we offer an exciting range of fashion courses in our dedicated department, taught by specialist fashion professionals.

Our excellent links with Higher Education fashion and textiles courses in the London Area means that we can help you prepare a successful fashion course application.

Many of our students have progressed onto Higher Education, successfully set up small businesses, or gone on to work within the fashion industry. We have a reputation for the high standard of work produced, and entry to our courses is often competitive.

We cater for beginners through to the very experienced, aiming to be as flexible as possible to meet individual needs. Acceptance onto all our fashion courses is by individual interview. Where appropriate you will be asked to bring examples of your work. At interview we can build a personal study programme taking into account your existing skills and time available.

Course Overview

Probably one of the most creative and inspirational courses of its kind, we aim to develop students’ ability as fashion designers through exploration of the design process, underpinned by good technical skills. Working through an exciting series of fashion project briefs, students learn how diverse and individual concepts can be developed to inspire fashion and textile design ideas. This course requires basic skills in fashion and good drawing skills. Applicants must have at least 5 GCSE’s (including English and Maths Grade C, or equivalent, or ESOL Level 5). Applicants must also demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for fashion design and a commitment to study. With a strong emphasis on illustration and design development, this course also comprises historical and contextual studies, pattern cutting, garment construction, costume and textiles. The first year of the course is a 90 credit Diploma, with an optional further top-up year to an Extended Diploma.

*This year over 95% of our students have been accepted onto BA courses by leading London universities.
