The SCALE Network is an international alliance of cutting-edge research and education centers, dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics. It began in 2003 with the opening of the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain. It was expanded with the opening of the Latin American Center for Innovation in Logistics (CLI) in Bogotá, Colombia in 2008 and three years later, in 2011, with the creation of the Malaysian Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) in Shah Alam, Malaysian.
It currently has six centers of excellence in research on three different continents, with more than 10 educational programs (both virtual and face-to-face), 55 academic peers, 80 researchers, 150 corporate allies, and 1,000 students working around the world.
The main objectives of the SCALE Network are:
Expand the reach of the MIT Transportation & Logistics Center in education and research.
Create local human capital specialized in logistics and develop applied knowledge in different regions of the world.
Create new innovation opportunities.
Develop new educational models and paradigms.
