This program aims to prepare the student or the student to work in the field of technical civil engineering and mining engineering. It deals with various functions related to the operation and extraction of mineralized rock (in the mines), the development of an underground mine or open pit as well as the design and construction of works public works (buildings, road systems, dams or pipes). The laboratories allow to apply the concepts and theories taught.

Conditions of admission :

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent from another province, or the candidate status or adult candidate
  • 1 French credit mandatory group of 11 or 12, pre-college or pre-university
  • 2 credits of mathematics: 11 or 12, pre-college or pre-university

Notes:

  • The student or the student will benefit from a closely related education to the working world through the access and through scenarios in underground mining sites, according to health and safety standards that exist in the 'industry.
  • Graduates of this program have the opportunity to enroll directly in steps 5 and 6 of specialization in construction engineering technology - mining and civil.
  • All courses are offered in French. Given the realities of the labor market, Collège Boréal prepares the student or the student to work in both official languages. This curriculum might include manuals or documentation in English, or even the possibility of an internship in an environment where bilingualism is required.
