The LAS Summer Language Program is an intensive program consisting of two optional streams, English or French. The purpose is to increase students’ skills, abilities, and confidence in their selected language. Students are divided into groups based on an appropriate age range and ability. Learning takes place in and out of the classroom and each week will be themed in order to add focus and richness to the language acquisition process.
The LAS Summer program is an English language environment. However, we recognize that some students are not quite ready for this English language immersion experience. For those students, we offer three levels of specific English language instruction, Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced. When submitting an application students/parents select the level, they think best represents their student’s abilities. Upon arrival on campus students take a placement test to confirm they are enrolled at the correct level. Each level offers a variety of learning opportunities that include reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills....

The principal objective of this study programme is to introduce the basic concepts of geopolitics. The course adopts a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates strategic, geographic, historic, cultural and economic dimensions in order to facilitate a more profound understanding of contemporary international relations. Conferences will be held by leading international experts. Target group of participants: Persons working for International Organisations and government agencies, diplomats, university students, people working in various economic sectors, and other interested individuals. Dates: Program starts on Monday 13 July and ends on Friday 17 July 2015. Schedule: Conferences take place between 9-12 AM and 2:00 -5:00 PM. Location: Domaine de Penthes, 18, Chemin de l’Impératrice, Geneva, Switzerland. Language: English Certificate of participation will be awarded by GIGS upon completion of the course.
