This summer school will be working for and with the Sharehouse Refugio in berlin. This is a community living project where refugees, students, artists and others live and work together. This community will be our clients for this DesignBuild project. The clients will actively participate in the project from the design phase to on-site construction. It explores the intimate connection between two predominant human senses, seeing and hearing, and how they augment each other. 18 hours of class sessions per week, 5 ECTS credit points The studio addresses three major areas of exploration: How to perceive, sample and represent an urban place through sound as spatial qualities. How to translate one medium into another through drawings, models and construction in an analogical process.
