Program Description
Spend your Summer in Taiwan
Chinese Language & Culture Immersion in Taiwan is an intense program designed by the Language Center in NCU. The curriculum includes listening, speaking, reading and writing and we also offer some tutorial hours and field trips for the participants to get to know about Taiwan culture and be able to practice what they learn in the real world. The emphasis for our program is to build up a student's overall Chinese ability. When participants enter the program, they are tested on their Chinese level and put into a course that best matches their needs.
This program offers
- a certificate with 3 credits or 8 credits
- tailor-made Chinese classes
- 3 days of cultural trip to Eastern Taiwan
This program aims to
- enable beginners to have basic communicative skills
- allow intermediate students to become fluent speakers
- achieve high-Level performance as proficiency for advanced level student

National Central University was originally founded in Nanjing, China in 1915. NCU had later developed into a renowned academic institution with comprehensive programs and outstanding faculty, enjoying a high reputation equal to that of Peking University. In 1962, the Graduate Institute of Geophysics was founded in Miaoli, Taiwan as the re-establishment of the University. The campus was relocated to Zhongli in 1968, and today it has become a home to more than thirteen thousand students and teachers.
