Why study Specialization in Project Management in the EIA

The profile of the candidate of the Project Management Specialization contemplates the acceptance of professionals from different academic disciplines, which favors the multidisciplinary analysis and the integral conception of the projects, without losing each participant his professional identity or pretending to invade fields external to his profession.

The elements that distinguish the Specialization in Project Management are: the approach towards the theory of restrictions, the systemic and strategic thinking and the emphasis on the methodology of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The Theory of Constraints sees the value chain as a whole, whose parts interact systemically and not on their isolated components. In this measure, the projects are considered in a holistic manner, seeking to strategically strengthen the weakest link in the chain in order to increase the productivity of the system. Its solution with critical chain and its vision in multiprojects provide it with a high differentiating value.

With the focus of specialization, the aim is to develop attitudes and competences in the specialists that allow them to address in a more fruitful manner the management and improvement of existing projects and the design of new ones.

The Project Management specialist will be competent to plan, direct and fully evaluate all types of projects, following the global framework of the PMI methodology.

The Project Management Specialist of the Universidad EIA will be able to:

  • Identify problems, needs and opportunities that give rise to specific projects with creativity and leadership.
  • Formulate and evaluate investment projects, following the PMI® methodology.
