General Information

  • All Locations: Shanghai, China
  • Duration:
    • Summer and winter short-term programs: 2-4 weeks
    • Customized short-term program for groups: within 2 months
  • Earliest Start Date:
    • Mid-July for summer vocation and early January for winter vocation;
    • Determined by program requirements for customized programs
  • Application Deadline:
    • Summer program: June 10th, 2020
    • Winter program: December 1st, 2020
  • Customized program: Determined by program requirements

  • Study Type: Campus
  • Pace: Part-time
  • Tuition Fees:
    • Summer and winter short-term programs:
      • CNY 2,000 for 2 weeks
      • CNY 2,700 for 3 weeks
      • CNY 3,300 for 4 weeks
      • Increasing by CNY 600 per week based on CNY 3,300 for 5 weeks or above.
    • Customized short-term program for groups:
      • One project for one case in accordance with the contract 

Summer and winter short-term programs:

Program Feature

  • Opening for 4 weeks each phase on each summer and winter vacation; Grouping students into different classes according to their Chinese proficiency and level;
  • Offering certificates of completion and transcripts at the end of the program; Optimized curriculum focusing on improving oral Chinese; Cultural experience: Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, paper cutting and Chinese painting, etc.; Language practice: cultural excursions in or around the city according to the project demand.

  • Non-Chinese citizen in good health;
  • Between 16 and 60 years old

    • A non-refundable application fee is required for all self-support applicants. Having successfully inspected by CIE, please pay the application fee by bank transfer. Login in your account and upload the receipt of bank transfer or pay in person at Room 108, Lizhi Building.

Customized short-term program for groups:

Program Feature

East China University of Science and Technology provides international students group (over 15 people) with short-term customized teaching services all over a year. Lectures, activities and study programs will be designed in accordance with students’ requirements and time. Lectures on Chinese culture and history or other topics both in Chinese and English. Visits to famous enterprises, manufacturing companies, museums, university labs, and tourist locations, etc. Elective courses including Chinese paper cutting, calligraphy, martial arts. Research projects on Chinese culture or other fields. Flexible arrangement of other courses or activities on demand.

You can pay the fee by bank transfer and submit a copy of the transfer vouchers and other application materials altogether. You can also pay at the scene of submitting the material.
