What is PPL Helicopter

With a Private Pilot License, you can fly a helicopter for private purpose with friends and family. For many student pilots, the PPL is the start towards a commercial pilot career. The training consists of a theoretical and a practical part. We tailor our training to fit each student requirements, ability and schedule - full time if desired. The license you will be issued with is a PPL(H) EASA License, with this license you can fly in any European country and in many other countries around the world with very little effort.

Theoretical Training

We are using the latest state of the art teaching materials for all our theoretical courses. The training package includes all books, charts and navigation equipment for the theory. We carefully selected the best books and manuals on the market for our courses. For PPL, you have the option to have some of the books in your own language. All lecturing is done in English or Scandinavian language depending on individual needs.

Practical Flight Training

Theoretical and practical flight training is preferable started at the same time. The first part of your practical flight training is general handling, here you will learn how to fly and handle the helicopter safely. The following step is a combination of emergency training, navigation flights and confined off-airport landings: e.g. golf courses, summer houses etc. Already after about 15-20 hours, you will be able to fly the helicopter by yourself for the first time. This is called a Solo Flight. Finally, when you have completed the theoretical exams, completed the practical flight test you will be issued with your Private Pilot License. From this moment can you rent the helicopter and fly on your own or with friends/ family.
