Rays Online College Courses offers online English courses, each equivalent to a 3-credit American course. Courses last for nine weeks, and most students take two courses over the nine-week period as a full student load. [+]

Rays Online College Courses offers online English courses, each equivalent to a 3-credit American course. Courses last for nine weeks, and most students take two courses over the nine-week period as a full student load.

ROCC English courses have two objectives. The first is to prepare students for either the TOEFL or IELTS examinations required for transfer into foreign universities. The second is to acquaint students with the types of English they will encounter in English-medium universities, such as listening to lectures, reading university textbooks, or writing academic papers.

Courses include: Communications I – Listening, Communication II – Speaking, Readings in the Humanities and Sciences, Readings in the Social Sciences, English Composition, Academic Writing, Business English, Linguistics, Literature, Idioms and Expressions, Etymology and Word Derivations.
