It considers how established businesses might improve their effectiveness by making tactical decisions throughout the business. A Level Business builds on the AS units by considering more complex business scenarios and focusing on strategy.
The course will be taught by the use of small group work, self-directed research and presentation, class discussion and lectures. All units taught in year one are assessed across two papers at the end of the year. Paper 1 is assessed through multiple choice questions, short answer questions and mini case study data response questions. The Diploma is gained by achieving 24 Level 3 credits in Business.
You will also choose 2 more main subjects to gain 15 credits. These subjects included Law, Maths and Computing.

The A Level programme is studied at Level 3 over a two year period. You will study in a traditional way where your final grades will be based on end of year exams.
The qualification is divided into an AS Level (year 1) and an A2 Level (year 2) which each make up 50% of your overall grade. Most students take 4 subjects in their first year and 3 in their second year.
