With a diverse student population of about 3,800 of all faiths and backgrounds, the student/faculty ratio of 12-to-1 permits small classes and promotes active learning. Students have interned with the White House, the Dallas Cowboys, community theatres, as well as broadcasting companies. The St. Mary's Law School has been educating lawyers since 1927.

Scholarships are available at St. Mary's and they are awarded on academic merit, which may be judged by GPA or SAT scores. Scholarships range from $7500 to $15,000 for qualified Aston students. Contact us for more information on how to apply. We are happy to help.

The Department of Campus Recreation coordinates many programs for the St. Mary’s community, including intramural sports, wellness programs, sport clubs, informal open recreation, special events, and equipment check out.
Living on campus can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your lifetime. It’s an opportunity to meet people who will become lifelong friends, a chance to discover more about yourself and a time for new challenges. Freshmen benefit from the University’s requirement to live on campus during the first year. Local freshman students may opt to remain at home, but everyone is encouraged to seriously consider the advantages of residence life. Meal plans are available at an extra cost.
St. Mary’s currently has 12 residence halls that provide students with a home away from home. Freshmen are generally assigned to Founders Hall or Dougherty Hall, unless they are a part of a special community such as the Honors Program, Marianist Leadership Program, or Science Living Community.
