Program Description

Addressed to:

Photographers and photography students who want to know about the profession of sports photographer and related markets.


Goals:

  • Work current photography, from the snapshot to the graphic edition, based on the daily press reference
  • To learn theoretically and practically the different genres and specialties in the field of current photojournalism
  • Know the reality of photojournalism from the experience of prestigious photographers


Contents:

  • History and evolution of photojournalism.
  • Photographic equipment.
  • Technique, aesthetics and photojournalistic language.
  • The different specialties and the current means of communication.
  • Photonoticia vs Reportage, Report vs. Documentalism.
  • Graphic edition, technology, technical and informative process.
  • Media, agencies, internet and social networks.
  • Introduction to video and audiovisual production.
  • Photographic archive and its organization.
  • Current status of the profession.
  • Legislation, applied law and deontology.

Creation of an individual and exclusive blog for this course, to be able to view, analyze and periodically supervise the orders made.

During the course there will be outings to practice the different specialties (sports, politics, culture and society, etc.) and also visit the photography and graphic editing department of a newspaper.

    • 18 sessions of 3 hours
    • 27 hours of practical outings

  • Schedule: Monday from 4pm to 7pm.
