Although photography and film are separate in the minds of many theorists and critics, it is clear that today the boundaries between still and moving image diluted. Has emerged a hybrid space that permeates the artistic, experimental and commercial practice.

The main objective of the course is to show the correspondences between photography and cinema throughout its history, and provide a framework of proposals that allow students to enrich their visual language and open to experimentation. This will help them articulate richer aesthetic projects formally and conceptually, and draw a singular creative profile.

Step of photography will be examined to kinetic, the mutual attraction between the two media and expressive considerations; the work of photographers who have made films and filmmakers who have flirted with photography, and the presence of film element in contemporary photography and exploration of the frame in independent films will be analyzed. All these relationships will be addressed taking as reference the history and evolution of both tools.

Along with input from the teacher, the course aims to enhance the participation of students and stimulate their creativity through the commissioning of a personal project.
