Doing Music at Huish is “a challenging, varied and exciting experience”.
Music is a balanced study of the academic and practical aspects of Music. You will have the opportunity to compose your own music. Performance is central to the course both individually and in groups. This subject explores classical, popular, world and film music.
There is a range of practical and written exams. Your development will be assessed through performance, composition, listening and analytical skills.
This is a highly regarded academic course that prepares you for higher education and professional music opportunities.
I like the way we learn everything as we go
along. So theory on Mondays, composition on
Tuesdays etc... so you are not just learning things
in a big chunk. The teaching is excellent and I
feel completely prepared for the exam as far as
